ASK MEN'S FITNESS: IS IT SAFE TO USE VIAGRA FOR FUN?

sex position training
"I’d like to try Viagra for fun—but is it safe for a young, healthy guy? I saw a celebrity talk about it on The Tonight Show a while back, and it sounded exciting." — Andy S., Evanston, IL
Hm, I tend to shy away from using pharmaceuticals recreationally, so I asked sex therapist Michael Aaron, Ph.D., to weigh in:
“Viagra was only approved in ’98, so there haven’t been enough studies to test its long-term safety,” he says. “But short term—as long as you’re not on meds like nitrates—it seems to have few side effects, headache being the most common.”
Now for the fun part: “Anecdotally,” he says, “it’s not unusual for younger guys to use Viagra recreationally, since it can bring fuller, stronger erections—though that may also mean a little less sensitivity. Also, it won’t get you aroused till you’re feeling aroused—i.e., it’s not going to pop you an erection when you’re stuck in traffic. But it gives you a nice ‘pump’ of feeling thicker and fuller, so you may feel more ready to ‘rise to the occasion.’”
Thanks, doc. And I’d also say maybe don’t get sex advice from talk shows (though Seth Meyers is probably OK).

HOW TO SATISFY HER WITH A SMALL PENIS

Dr. Tammy Nelson, Ph.D., psychotherapist/sex therapist: Having a smaller penis doesn’t mean you can’t satisfy a lover. During sex, the walls of a woman’s vagina close just a third of the way into the vaginal canal; that means it’s the girth or movement—not the depth of penetration—that matters.
But stimulating the clitoris and the G-spot (1 to 2" in, on the vagina’s front side) is what will give her a mind-blowing orgasm. Be aware: It can take 17 minutes or more (not four, as some men think!) of clitoral stimulation for a woman to come.
Master that and you can be a great lover despite the size of your man parts.
You may not be as small as you think. In a recent British study of more than 15,000 men, average penis size was 5.16"—and more than half of the men were within just an inch of each other.
Dr. Michael Aaron, Ph. D., psychotherapist/sex counselor: But assuming you are actually smaller, there are still many ways to satisfy a woman. In terms of positions, try doggy style for deeper penetration. And bone up (so to speak) on your oral skills for clitoral stimulation.

NORWAY IS THE ORGASM CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

If you were to guess which country has the most mind-melting, satisfying sex, what would it be? Croatia—wild and carefree? France—romantic and passionate? Brazil—hot and uninhibited?
Turns out, none of the above, according to sex toy company LELO.
Norway, it turns out, is the most sexually accomplished country, according to a survey LELO conducted, including over 2,200 people from 21 different countries.
About 35% of Norwegians reportedly orgasm at least once a day—beating the global average of two to three times per week. To put that into perspective even more, only 11% of Brits climax once a day and 41% of Swedes orgasm 2-3 times per week.
LELO also unveiled some interesting sex stats around the world.
About 3% of Germans claimed they've never had an orgasm before, while the numbers climb to 15% of Canadians (learn how to help a woman have her first orgam). Unfortunately for the land up north, when participants do climax, most rate the intensity of their orgasm at 1 out of 10.
Americans fare better, majority said their orgasm intensity hovers around 7 out of 10.
It's Chile, Italy, and Spain, though, who are truly satisfied. Around 10-13% rated the power of their orgasms within the highest percentile.
Around 35% of Australians keep their lips sealed during sex, while 65% of Brazilians, 38% of Croatians, and 10% of French men and women get vocal when they climax
And, unsurprisingly, 91% of men come during sex, while only about 64% of women reach climax.
To even the playing field, learn some of the top techniques sex experts and real women rely on for the best sex ever.
Hone your oral sex skills, get the inside scoop on what women wish you kew about getting them off, and the sex moves that practically guarantee her orgasm.

6 Tantric Tricks That Will Help You Have An Insane Orgasm

imageWhat is tantric sex? Tantric sex is the art of love-making that involves the unity of the body, soul, and feeling.
Margot Anand, a Tantra sex instructor and author of The Art of Everyday Ecstasy, discloses how to practice Tantric sex, breathing, muscle contraction, sensation, visualization, and meditation during sex. These techniques are intended to bring spirituality into the bedroom.
Follow these six easy steps to practicing Tantra and Kama Sutra.

1. Set The Mood

You can start by decorating the room with flowers or other objects that can beautify things. Light an aromatherapy candle or dim the lights. Then choose easy-listening music as the rhythm can arouse.

2. Explore His Erotic Zones

To increase sensation and sensitivity, try rubbing perfume or aromatherapy oils down his or her nose. Discover all the erotic zones by exploring the whole body with your finger from the neck, chest, and then continue down to the foot. Feel the vibration of his or her body before you are both ready to have sex.

3. Breathe

Breathing is the key to Tantric sex. Sit across from each other and stare deep into the eyes of your partner. Then, start to synchronize your breathing with him or her so that when you exhale when he or she takes a breath in. Do this alternately for some time.

4. Experiment With Touch

Next, start with a touch of erotic foreplay on your favorite body parts. Have him or her touch you sensually for a moment before having sex.

5. Focus

When sexual excitement began to rise, focus on your bodies becoming one.
See how sex toys have evolved over time. Fascinating.

6. Relax

Sexual climax or orgasm in Tantra also means enlightenment, the formation of the male-female energy cycle that takes you to the peak of pleasure. You should feel relaxation after that.

Could a Vibrator Make You Smarter?

imageGet ready to kill two birds with one…vibrator. The sex toy company Lelo says they have a new product that will actually make you smarter while also giving you an awesome orgasm.
Here's how: Left-handed people report being more sexually satisfied than right-handed people, according to a survey by Lelo. They also note that left-handed people are smarter and more creative, because the right side of their brain is dominant (however, recent research proves there is no such thing as "right-brained.") So Lelo wants to level the playing field by offering a vibrator exclusively for right-handed people. You squeeze it in your left hand while having sex or masturbating and the vibrations stimulate the right side of your brain—making you smarter and more aroused. Or you can just squeeze it at work (without pleasuring yourself obviously) to boost your on-the-job intelligence. It's like if a stress ball and a vibrator had a baby!
If this sounds too good to be true (or just too ridiculous), you're totally right. It's actually an early April Fools' joke from the company. Even the tech blog io9 fell for it, and Nerve was also convinced until they looked a little closer at the "research." Sorry guys, it's a joke! Lelo confirmed via email that this is definitely an April Fools' campaign, and they hope everyone gets a good laugh out of it. But if you're looking for an innovative new sex toy that actually exists, check out these 11 options you probably haven't heard of yet.

13 Crazy Places People Fantasize About Having an Orgasm

image
,
Apparently, today is National Orgasm Day! (Don't feel bad—we didn't have it marked on our calendars either.) So in light of this sexy holiday, Durex revealed new information about where you really want to feel fireworks. No judgments, but some of these are…unique.
Durex asked 1,010 men and women over the age of 21 where they've fantasized about having an orgasm. Check out the list of places in order of popularity (and, actually, in order of ridiculousness):
Beach: 39 percent
Plane: 32 percent
Movie theater: 30 percent
Office: 28 percent
Elevator: 28 percent
Car: 23 percent
Fitting room: 22 percent
Roof or balcony: 20 percent
Back of a cab: 16 percent
Library: 15 percent
Subway (the train, not the sandwich shop): 10 percent
Cemetery: 8 percent
Church: 7 percent.
OK, we can get behind of few of these (beach, plane, elevator, balcony… Hot!) But others have us reaching for the antibacterial soap (do you have any idea how many germs are in cabs and subway cars?!). But hey, to each her own dream orgasm spot.

2 Truths and a Lie about Sex and Exercise

image
RICHARD PHIBBS
1. Some women orgasm mid-exercise.
True: Indiana University researchers found that about 40 percent of women who reported having an exercise-induced orgasm (better known as "coregasms") said their experience was during abdominal exercises like leg raises. Next in line? Weight lifting (27 percent), yoga (20 percent), and bicycling (16 percent).
2. Sex counts as a workout.
Nice try, but no: In most cases, sex should be filed in the "light activity" category—right next to bowling or a casual stroll. Tantric sex sessions aside, the average American sexual intercourse lasts about eight minutes. Even if it's super intense, the effort isn't enough to get you a free pass from the gym.
3. Cycling can hurt your hoo-ha.
True, but rarely: The excessive pressure that exists in cycling—as well as in horseback riding and jet skiing—is reported to cause sexual dysfunction, says Irwin Goldstein, M.D., editor in chief of The Journal of Sexual Medicine. These activities can increase the risk of damage to your pudendal nerve, which sends signals to and from your clitoris. Initial soreness can be expected during your first few times on a bike; wearing padded shorts can help reduce pressure.

5 Mythical Orgasms That Sound Too To Be True—But Aren’t

imageThere are some things in life that sound amazing but unfortunately aren’t real, like unicorns that poop rainbows or J.Lo and Drake's relationship. But then there are things that seem cool AF and are actually legit. Case in point: the fact that women have the ability to orgasm in many, many different ways.
These five types of orgasms are anything but ordinary, but totally achievable—as long as you know what you're doing. Behold:

types of orgasms
EMILY MCCARTHY

What it is: Your cervix is located at the back of your vagina and you may feel your partner hit it when he dives deep during sex. Sometimes that doesn’t feel all that great, but when you get more aroused it can feel amazing, leading to an eventual orgasm. Many women describe it as a rush of pleasure between your belly button and vagina.
How to get it: You’re more likely to have a cervical O when you’re ovulating, which is typically about two weeks before you get your period. Start slow, and then add in some deep penetration when you feel about 80 percent of the way to an orgasm. At that point, make sure that whatever you’re using—fingers, penis, or toy—hits your cervix with each thrust.

What it is: Your G-spot is an area of nerves and tissues along the upper wall of your vagina that, when hit just right, can lead to a mind-blowing O. It feels textured to the touch and is located a few centimeters to a few inches past your vaginal opening.
How to get it: Woman on top is the best way to hit your G-spot during sex. If you tilt your body back while riding him, it allows the pressure of his penis to push against your vaginal wall, hitting your G-spot. If that doesn’t do the trick, doggy style (with your back slightly arched) can also help him hit your G.
